DENVER -- Rockies fans, don't get rid of those No. 26 jerseys just yet.
From 2004 through last season, the number belonged to standout left-handed pitcher Jeff Francis, but he has moved on to the Royals. However, another left-hander, reliever Franklin Morales, will try his luck in 26, after wearing 56 since entering the Majors in 2007.
In other number change of note, second baseman Eric Young Jr. changes from No. 3 to No. 1.
Newly acquired Rockies players have received their digits for 2011, as well. They are:
27 -- Right-handed pitcher Matt Lindstrom
59 -- Right-handed pitcher Clayton Mortensen
52 -- Right-handed pitcher Felipe Paulino
22 -- Infielder Jose Lopez
21 -- Utility man Ty Wigginton
On the coaching staff, bench coach Tom Runnels switches from 22 to 11, third-base coach Rich Dauer goes from 43 to 25 and new hitting coach Carney Lansford will wear No. 13.
Among new additions to the Rockies' 40-man Major League roster, right-handed pitcher Bruce Billings will wear 65, catcher Jordan Pacheco will wear 58 and outfielder Cole Garner will wear No. 14.
The non-roster jersey numbers will be available soon, most likely after the Rockies finishing granting invitations. On Thursday, the club announced that a pair of their Minor Leaguers, right-handed pitcher Alan Johnson (10-8, 5.91 ERA in 28 games, 25 starts, at Triple-A Colorado Springs) and left-handed pitcher Keith Weiser (10-8, 4.18 ERA in 26 starts at Double-A Tulsa) have received invitations to big league camp. Pitchers and catchers begin workouts on Feb. 15.
