Rockies at the plate: The Rockies took advantage of an error by center fielder Alfonso Soriano to score one run in the first, and an error by left fielder Cliff Floyd in the second to score another run. Matt Holliday hit an RBI double in the fifth.

Cubs at the plate: Soriano hit a two-run homer, his fourth, in the third. Derrek Lee and Aramis Ramirez hit back-to-back homers in the sixth. Lee is 30-for-62 this spring.

Rockies on the mound: Starter Aaron Cook gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits and one walk over four innings.

Cubs on the mound: Mark Prior, making his final Cactus League start, gave up three runs, none earned, on two hits and two walks over three innings while striking out three. Angel Guzman gave up one run on two hits over three innings in relief.

Cactus League records: Rockies 13-12-1; Cubs 15-12-2.

Up next: The Rockies close the Arizona portion of their schedule Thursday at 1:05 p.m. MT against the White Sox. Jeff Francis was slated to start for Colorado.

The Cubs wrap up the Arizona portion of the exhibition schedule on Thursday at 2:05 p.m. CT when they play host to the Diamondbacks at HoHoKam Park. Wade Miller was slated to make his final start.
