Cuddyer back on DL after aggravating oblique strain

Less than a week after returning to the Rockies lineup, Michael Cuddyer was again placed on the disabled list Sunday after aggravating his strained right oblique.

The club recalled outfielder Andrew Brown from Triple-A Colorado Springs to take Cuddyer's place on the active roster.

Cuddyer, who was also placed on the DL on Aug. 4, had played in just three games since being activated Thursday. He went 2-for-8 with a home run and two RBIs in those contests before reinjuring the oblique on a fifth-inning swing Saturday.

In his first year with the Rockies, the outfielder is hitting .260 with 16 homers and 58 RBIs in 101 games.
