DENVER -- The Rockies added to their catching depth by selecting Texas A&M senior Troy Stein in the 10th round on Friday to compete their second day of work in the MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Stein batted .291 with a .372 on-base percentage, with two home runs and 24 RBIs for the Aggies, and was a big part of a team that advanced to the Houston Regional.
"Troy Stein has been a great leader for us and gotten a lot of big hits," A&M coach Rob Childress said.
