DENVER -- Sunday will go a long way toward determining whether the Rockies have to place veteran Michael Cuddyer on the disabled list with soreness in the back of his left shoulder, which he suffered while diving for a ball while playing third base on Thursday night.
Cuddyer missed his second straight start on Saturday.
"I would say 'No' right now, " Rockies manager Walt Weiss said when asked Saturday whether the DL is an option. "Tomorrow is a big day for Cuddy, to see how he feels. Tomorrow will be a test for him."
